Today we have multiple speakers each having over 20 years sober sharing at the old timers meeting hosted at the 24th Big Island Bash held in Kona Hawaii in April of 2012. There was a considerable amount of unpleasant mike noise as the speakers changed, I cut as much of that out as possible, it made for some abrupt starts and stops. NSFW

We have two speakers today, first we have Mike M who is celebrating his 10th AA Birthday at the the Road to Recovery Group in Plymouth UK, followed by Wayne P speaking in October of 2015. These were 2 separate meetings and I dont know when Mike spoke.

Sandy B is from Tampa Florida and today we have him speaking at the 56th annual Florida State Convention held in Palm Harbor in August of 2012, he was 48 years sober at the time of this speak and if you are unfamiliar with Sandy he has been a very popular speaker for decades.

This is AA founder Bill W speaking on each of the 12 traditions one at a time. I had posted a version of this in 2019, and recently came across this recording of the same speak with much better audio quality. That being said it took quite a while to get it cleaned up and it was missing the last 4 min. so I added the missing part from another copy. Repost

The quality is excellent except for the very end, this audio is from a film that was intended to be shown in AA meetings. I dont know exactly when it was made but it was after Dr Bob's death.

In 1942, Ed W. began teaching the “Twelve Step Study” classes that helped the Minneapolis Group achieve their 75% recovery rate. Then in 1946, he and Barry C. (The first sober A.A. in the state) published the lectures used for these classes as a book. Initially titled The Twelve Steps, it was affectionately nicknamed “The little red book.”
