Dr. Bob's last major talk in Detroit, MI. Dec. 1948, this had a pretty nasty hum in the background, I managed to get most of that out. Considering the year it was recorded, once the hum was removed its a pretty good recording, it ends a little abruptly.

Frank S, one of the first 100 members of AA, 44 years sober at the time of this speak. No info about where or when this was recorded. It is an older recording and I removed as much background noise as I could, it sounds a little hollow but it is listenable.

In 1942, Ed W. began teaching the “Twelve Step Study” classes that helped the Minneapolis Group achieve their 75% recovery rate. Then in 1946, he and Barry C. (The first sober A.A. in the state) published the lectures used for these classes as a book. Initially titled The Twelve Steps, it was affectionately nicknamed “The little red book.”
