Tom I speaking on the topic of The Twelve Traditions at the 27th. Annual Music City Roundup held in Nashville TN in 2008. He takes a number of questions in the last half and it is impossible to hear them, so rather than have a lot of dead spots I cut them out, he does do a really nice job of recapping the questions, so you wont be wondering.

Marty M author of the chapter - Women Suffer Too, sober in 1940, she is one of the first female members of AA and was the first lesbian member of AA. This is her last talk given in 1960, she passed away in 1980.

I had to do much processing to this audio file to remove heavy background noise, as a result the voice is much cleaner, however that type of processing makes the applause sound like a jet flying overhead, there were a couple of places the applause was sustained, I shortened those applause sections. In 1942, Ed W. began teaching the “Twelve Step Study” classes that helped the Minneapolis Group achieve their 75% recovery rate. Then in 1946, he and Barry C. (The first sober A.A. in the state) published the lectures used for these classes as a book. Initially titled The Twelve Steps, it was affectionately nicknamed “The little red book.”
